Bugs: The Importance of Bugs in Agriculture
This interactive lesson begins with a fun "Bug-Off" competition where students will identify common insects. After the contest, the class will dive deeper into the world of entomology, focusing on how these seemingly small creatures have a huge impact on agriculture. We'll explore the jobs of well-known bugs like bees, beetles, and ladybugs and discuss their roles as pollinators, pests, and beneficial insects that help farmers. This hands-on and engaging approach will connect students to the vital, and sometimes unseen, world of bugs in the environment around us.
