Agriculture in the Classroom: Our Mission!
To cultivate agricultural literacy among Ellis County students through engaging and hands-on learning experiences, building a foundational knowledge of food systems, natural resources, and the diverse careers within agriculture.

We are thrilled to offer a one-of-a-kind opportunity for children to explore the fascinating world of agriculture from all angles. From production agriculture to the exciting business and marketing side, we are passionate about educating children on where their food comes from.

Kayler (Getz) Wiebke
Kayler grew up immersed in agriculture in western Kansas, where she developed a deep appreciation for rural life and the hard work it takes to sustain it. She attended Fort Hays State University, where she furthered her knowledge and passion for the agricultural industry. During her time in college, she served as an Ellis County Farm Bureau intern. Today, she is proud to return to Ellis County Farm Bureau as the County Coordinator, excited to serve the local community, support farm families, and help advance the mission of agriculture in the region she calls home.

Abigail "Abby" Graham
I am the AG in the Classroom Coordinator for Ellis County Farm Bureau. I am pursuing a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. My upbringing in Northwest Kansas led to a deep passion for agriculture, further nurtured through my involvement in 4-H and FFA. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to combine my love for education and agriculture in my current role.

Maci Vanek
Ag Ambassador
Maci Vanek has always had a passion for the outdoors and agriculture. Much of her childhood was spent learning the ways of agricultural life alongside her father and grandfather on the family farm. The lessons she learned have proven time and time again that farming can be both fruitful as well as challenging. These experiences have lead her on a path to continue generational farming. Currently a Senior at Hays High School, Maci is serving as an Ag Ambassador for Ellis County Farm Bureau. She plans to attend Kansas State University in the Fall of 2026 furthering her knowledge in Horticulture.

Keeli Kimzey
Ag Ambassador
Keeli Kimzey lives in rural Hays on a farm where she has horses and raises meat goats. She is involved in 4-H and is the current secretary of the Hays FFA Chapter. She plans to attend Kansas State University and major in Agriculture Education starting in the fall of 2026. Today, she is excited to be involved in the Ellis County Fair Bureau Ag Ambassador program and is looking forward to all the opportunities to come.

How it works...
Ellis County Farm Bureau strives to create an efficient and effective learning environment for you and your students! These are "on your own" learning packets that can be done at your speed, perfect to fill gaps in the classroom. To locate the lessons hover on "Ag in the Classroom" at the top of the page and select your specific age level.

Each grade will have learning modules to cover throughout the year. We will shuffle them around every year so they will change. Please reach out to Steph or Abby with any questions.
